An electrical discharge machining method includes a step in which a pipe electrode is arranged such that the axis line of the pipe electrode faces the depth direction of the throughholes, the pipe electrode is moved relative to the workpiece, and a sloped section is formed; a step in which a straight section connected to the sloped section is formed; and a step in which the pipe electrode is arranged such that the axis line is vertical relative to the inside wall surface of the sloped section, the pipe electrode is moved relative to the workpiece, and the inside wall surface is machined.

1. An electrodischarge machining method which uses an electrodischarge machine which is provided with a columnar or cylindrical shaped electrode so as to form a hole which has an inclined part in a workpiece, comprising:
an inside wall surface machining process which arranges the electrode so that an axis of the electrode becomes vertical to an inside wall surface of the inclined part while making the electrode move relative to the workpiece to machine the inside wall surface of the inclined part by electrodischarge machining.
