This invention provides a display device that, if an obstruction is blocking a display region, makes it easy for the user to ascertain the content of an image being displayed without removing said obstruction. In said display device, which has a pixel region comprising a plurality of pixels, a display control unit determines whether or not an obstruction is covering part of said pixel region, and if it is determined that an obstruction is present, an image is displayed using pixels in a remaining section of the pixel region, said remaining section being the section of the pixel region that is not covered by the obstruction. |
