<p>A power transmission device (101), in which an active electrode (13) and a passive electrode (14) are made to face an active electrode (23) and a passive electrode (24) of a power reception device (201), and electric field coupling is used to transmit power to the power reception device (201), is provided with: a DC power supply (Vin); a DC-AC inverter circuit (10) which converts, into an AC voltage having a prescribed frequency, a DC voltage outputted from the DC power supply (Vin), and applies the AC voltage to the active electrode (13) and the passive electrode (14); a processor (12) which generates a binary signal for information to be transmitted to the power reception device (201); and a PWM control unit (111) which is provided in a control circuit (11), and which, on the basis of the generated binary signal, PWM controls the DC-AC inverter circuit (10) using two duty ratios greater than 0. As a result, a power transmission device and a power transmission system are provided, with which communication with a power reception device is performed without any reduction in power transmission efficiency.</p> |
