A control device (101): sets a draft leveling amount for a first finishing stand (3a) on the basis of an off-center amount measured by an off-center-amount measuring device (102) during the interval until the tip end of the rolling material passes the first finishing stand (3a); adjusts the draft leveling amount for the first finishing stand (3a) on the basis of a camber amount measured by a camber-amount measuring device (103), after the tip end of the rolling material has passed the first finishing stand (3a); and for the rolling stands after and including a second finishing stand (3b), adjusts the rolling position in a manner such that gaps between a work roll on the working side and on the drive side are identical, on the basis of the rolling conditions and the difference in milling stiffness in the widthwise direction of the stands.
