The invention relates to the field of financial informatics and, more specifically, to a method of transferring funds via a mobile device. The present invention is applicable in creating and operating systems which carry out financial operations using non-cash funds, including without the use of standard plastic cards, and also in transferring funds from a mobile account to accounts of other payment means. The proposed method achieves the aims of the invention, is characterized in being fundamentally novel, and allows for the universal handling of funds in a mobile account and in accounts of payment means, and also allows for significantly increasing payment efficiency, carrying out payments even in cases when the current account balance of a sender is insufficient.
