PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing &bgr;-glucan by which a high purity &bgr;-glucan can be obtained efficiently at low cost by utilizing microorganisms belonging to Aureobasidium genus.SOLUTION: &bgr;-glucan produced by a microorganism is obtained by putting the microorganism belonging to Aureobasidium genus and liquid medium into a cultivation tank, bubbly introducing an oxygen-containing gas from the bottom of the cultivation tank, and culturing while stirring with the gas. Bubbly introducing the oxygen-containing gas by a nozzle consisting of a metallic sintered compact is preferable. |
