<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the thickness of ices formed in the vicinity of an evaporator regardless of the quality of cooling water.SOLUTION: In a beverage cooling device 10, an operation of a freezer unit 30 is controlled based on the detection of an ice detecting sensor 40, the cooling water in a cooling water tank 20 is cooled down so as to form an ice of a predetermined thickness in the vicinity of an evaporator 34, and a beverages flowing through a beverage cooling tube 21 is cooled down by heat exchange between the beverage and the cooling water. The beverage cooling tube 21 is positioned so as not to be electrically connected with an evaporation tube. An insulation material is used for the cooling water tank 20 and a side panel 14 of a housing 11. Each beverage inlet edge 21a and beverage outlet edge 21b of the beverage cooling tube 21 is fixed to the side panel 14 and the cooling water tank 20. The beverage cooling tube 21 is connected to a controller 50 via a lead wire 46 so as not to be electrically connected to other component in the cooling water tank 20, thereby serving as an earth electrode of the ice detecting sensor 40.</p> |
