PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control device capable of suppressing image quality degradation due to a discharge-failure even when ink is not discharged through a normal nozzle with respect to pixels to be originally discharged with the ink through a nozzle being discharge-failure.SOLUTION: A printing control device acquires a position of a discharge-failure nozzle in a print head having a nozzle array arranged side-by-side with a plurality of nozzles discharging ink onto a printing medium in a transportation direction of the printing medium. Further, the printing control device specifies first positions being positions where the ink is discharged through a discharge-failure nozzle in print data being generated so as to constitute a raster being one line in a scanning direction of the print head by scanning a plurality of times and to prevent individual ones of a plurality of dot positions constituting the raster from being discharged with the ink twice or more. Furthermore, the printing control device corrects the print data so as to associate second positions interposing the first positions in the transportation direction with discharge of the ink in the case where the first positions are associated with the discharge of ink in the print data generated. |
