PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize illuminance of light which has two or more different spread angles and to make the spread angles a same angle.SOLUTION: A spread angle equalization device includes: a rod integrator 111 which is made of a cylinder or a polygonal pillar; and a cladding layer 112 which is optically contacted to a side of the rod integrator 111 and reflects light of a spread angle smaller than a critical angle of an interface between the rod integrator 111 and the cladding layer 112.
