PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery that can maintain high heat insulation required in operation and that enables a rapid stop operation by decreasing heat insulation properties at the time of shutdown and in an emergency.SOLUTION: A fuel battery, which is housed within a pressure container, generates electric power by supplying fuel gas and oxidized gas. The pressure container is configured as a double-structure pressure container 2 that comprises internal and external shells 3 and 4. A vacuum chamber 5 for performing vacuum insulation in operation is formed between the internal and external shells 3 and 4. The vacuum chamber 5 comprises a reinforcement spacer 6 for a heat insulation material, which connects the internal and external shells 3 and 4 together. |
