PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device in which even if the positions of two grooves to a pressure chamber are different between plural pressure chambers, the influence thereof to the variation of a discharge speed lessens.SOLUTION: In each of plural pressure chambers 37 of a flow channel unit, two grooves 51 and 52 positioned at both sides of each pressure chamber 37 in a nozzle arrangement direction are formed on a piezoelectric layer 44. The distances between the two grooves 51 and 52 disposed at both sides of the pressure chamber 37 are equal to each other in the plural pressure chambers 37. When defining the positions of the grooves 51 and 52 from the edge of the pressure chamber 37 in the nozzle arrangement direction as X and defining an intermediate position of the interval from the edge of the pressure chamber 37 to that of the adjacent pressure chamber 37 in the nozzle arrangement direction as Xc, the positions X of the grooves 51 and 52 are in the range of 0.2Xc-20 μm≤X≤0.6Xc+20 μm. |
