<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording device capable of easily arbitrating video recording reservations between users while maintaining a possibility to execute video recording of the user who made the subsequent video recording reservation, and a video recording system with the video recording device.SOLUTION: A video recording device 10 of a video recording system 100 includes: a receiving part 11 for receiving a broadcast program; a storage part 17 for recording the broadcast program received by the receiving part 11; a communication part 18 for receiving video recording reservation information of broadcast programs from personal digital assistants 20, 30 and 40 over the Internet 90; and a control part 19 in which a video recording reservation is made on the basis of the video recording reservation information and if broadcast programs with overlapped reservation times are included in a plurality of video recording reserved broadcast programs, control is performed to report the overlap of the video recording reservations to the personal digital assistants 20, 30 and 40 used by users who made the video recording reservations of the broadcast programs with the overlapped reservation times.</p> |
