Provided is a semiconductor light emitting device comprising: a semiconductor laminate having a first conductive semiconductor layer having an upper surface divided into a first and a second area, and an active layer and a second conductive semiconductor layer sequentially arranged on the second area of the first conductive semiconductor layer; a first contact electrode arranged on the first area of the first conductive semiconductor layer; a second contact electrode arranged on the second conductive semiconductor layer; a current scattering layer arranged on the second contact electrode, where a first conductive film having a first resistance, and a second conductive film having a second resistance smaller than the first resistance are alternately arranged; a first electrode pad electrically connected to the first contact electrode; and a second electrode pad arranged on some areas of the current scattering layer to be electrically connected to the second contact electrode.
