PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication technique that can improve personal authentication accuracy.SOLUTION: A personal authentication device 100 is configured to: detect a face area of a person included in an input frame image (S201); generate feature data from the detected face area (S204); compare the generated feature data with feature data stored in a person database 108, and identify a person of the feature data generated in S204 from a plurality of persons (S206); update an authentication history of the person database on the basis of an authentication result, and delete feature data likely to cause wrong authentication from the person database 108 when there is the feature data likely to cause the wrong authentication in the feature data stored in the person database 108 as to a prescribed person and the prescribed person can be correctly authenticated by other feature data (S209). |
