<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering device that enables a passenger to steer a vehicle for predetermined time even if a starting switch such as an ignition key is turned off during vehicle travel.SOLUTION: A vehicle steering device comprises a control unit 10 determining a turning angle of each wheel 80 depending on a steering angle of a steering wheel 20 mechanically separated from the wheel 80 and provided in a vehicle. The control unit 10 determines whether a last vehicle speed V is higher than a predetermined vehicle Vth if a starting switch SW1 for starting a vehicle drive unit 210 is switched from an ON-state to an OFF-state. The control unit 10 continues to turn on the vehicle steering device irrespectively of a current vehicle speed V' until predetermined time T passes, and turns off the vehicle steering device after passage of the predetermined time T. On the other hand, the control unit 10 turns off the vehicle steering device if the last vehicle speed V is not higher than the predetermined vehicle Vth.</p> |
