<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a user cannot grasp what kind of risk occurs.SOLUTION: A portable electronic device comprises a storage unit, an acoustic sound reproduction unit and a control unit. Risk detection processing is processing in which the control unit compares characteristics between a surrounding sound recorded by an acoustic sound input unit and a risk sound sample stored in the storage unit to thereby identify a category of risks and detects the risk. Notification processing is processing that provides a notification of the risk by allowing an acoustic sound indicative of the category of the risks to be output from the acoustic sound reproduction unit when the risk is detected by the risk detection processing. When the risk is detected by the risk detection processing upon reproduction of music data or recitation data by the acoustic sound reproduction unit, the control unit is configured to instruct the acoustic sound reproduction unit to lower a sound volume setting value or halt the reproduction thereof and starts the notification processing, and completes the notification processing because a fixed time elapses or the risk detection processing does not detect the risk, and thereby instructs the acoustic sound reproduction unit to raise the sound volume setting value or start the reproduction thereof.</p> |
