STRONTIUM TITANATE FINE PARTICLE FOR TONER AND PRODUCTION METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that since strontium titanate produced by normal temperature wet process contains cubic/rectangular parallelepiped particles having sharp edges, the strontium titanate has an excellent polishing effect when used as an external additive to a toner, however, it has insufficient environmental properties and charging properties.SOLUTION: Strontium titanate obtained by a normal temperature wet process is dissolved by using an acid to adjust a SrO/TiOmolar ratio to 0.80 to 0.95. Thus, an organic surface treatment substance such as silicone oil, sodium stearate, and silane coupling agent can be easily deposited on the strontium titanate, and the obtained strontium titanate serves an external additive excellent in environmental stability.
