<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic adsorbent, from contaminated water containing fluorine and arsenic, capable of swiftly adsorbing these element, and in which durability upon use and recovery properties by magnets is satisfactory.SOLUTION: Provided is a magnetic adsorbent characterized in that magnetic substance particles and magnesium oxide are bound by cement in a state where the magnetic substance particles are exposed to the surface. It is preferable that the content of the cement in the magnetic adsorbent is 0.1 to 3 mass%. It is preferable that the magnetic substance particles are barium ferrite or strontium ferrite. It is preferable that the magnetic flux density per unit mass of the magnetic adsorbent is 0.01 to 0.1T/kg.</p> |
