<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method and apparatus capable of easily changing pH of an aqueous solution.SOLUTION: A method for changing pH of an aqueous solution includes a step (i) for electrolyzing an aqueous solution 101 in an electrolytic cell 10. The aqueous solution 101 dissolves an ion (L) that reacts with and consumes an acid or an alkali to generate gas. The electrolytic cell 10 is equipped with a separator 12, first and second cells 21 and 22, and first and second electrodes 31 and 32. In the step (i), the acid or alkali is generated by the first electrode 31 and reacted with the ion (L), and thus generated gas is released to the outside of the first cell 21.</p> |
