1. An ink proofing system, comprising:
a hand holdable support member; an anilox roll coupled to the support member; an impression roll coupled to the support member, the impression roll defining an outer circumferential surface thereof; a printing plate coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the impression roll, the printing plate being formed of a photopolymer material and including an etched outer surface thereof that faces away from the impression roll when coupled to the impression roll; a proofing machine base, including a positive stop surface disposed thereon and a drive roll disposed therein, the drive roll configured to support an ink-receiving substrate during an ink proofing operation; and a first adjustment device coupled to the support member and located relative to the positive stop surface such that the first adjustment device can set a fixed nip between the printing plate and the ink-receiving substrate. |
