1. A chewing gum composition comprising, based on the total weight of the composition:
(a) 0.01 to 1% by weight of one or more cannabinoids, provided within internal voids of a solid cellulose carrier; (b) 25 to 85% by weight of a gum base comprising at least one buffering agent; (c) 10 to 35% by weight of at least one sweetening agent; (d) 1 to 10% by weight of at least one flavouring agent; and wherein 30% by weight of the cannabinoid is released within 5 minutes after ingestion, based on the total weight content of the cannabinoid in the chewing gum composition, and wherein the release starts within 3 minutes after ingestion. |
