Provided are an information transmitting and receiving method and corresponding device for solving the technical problem in the prior art of inability to ensure sufficient frequency hopping gain when applying the regular intervals frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) solution to a scenario of narrow band discontinuous frequency spectrum. The information transmitting method comprises: a communication device determines a frequency hopping sequence, the frequency hopping interval of any neighboring frequency points of the frequency hopping sequence being a fixed frequency hopping interval incapable of exactly dividing the number of available frequency points; the communication device determines a frequency point from the frequency hopping sequence at each frequency hopping time, and transmits the information to a peer terminal communication device over the carrier frequency corresponding to the determined frequency point.
