The invention relates to a process for quick manufacturing of 3D pieces of various geometries, complex geometries included, using an ultrasound beam focused onto a powder mass of the material the 3D piece is to be made from. According to the invention, the process consists in achieving the local bonding of powder grains by focusing ultrasound waves into a focus point and scanning the powder mass with the said focus point so as to form a tridimensional object, focus point in which at least one of the local melting processes takes place: local melting by friction, followed by gap filling, removing the grains roughness, local inter-diffusion between the powder grains as well as other phenomenons occurring at the interface between the materials when subjected to an ultrasound field. |
