<p>The present invention provides a liquid crystal display capable of minimizing defects due to process variations and improving display performance. The liquid crystal display according to the present invention includes a first electrode, an insulating film provided on the first electrode, and a second electrode provided on the insulating film. Multiple slits provided within a pixel are formed in the second electrode. The first electrode is opposite the multiple slits and the multiple slits are parallel to each other. Each of the multiple slits includes a first linear portion extending in a first direction, a second linear portion connected to one end of the first linear portion and extending in a second direction, and a bent portion bent in a region where the first linear portion and the second linear portion are connected to each other. The other ends of the multiple first linear portions are on the same line. When a slit located at one end in the pixel among the multiple slits is defined as a first slit, the slit next to the first slit has the first and the second linear portions bent so as to be nearer to the first slit, and the more distant a slit is from the first slit, the shorter the length of the first linear portion thereof becomes.</p> |
