<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater sound positioning system for measuring a diastrophism of a sea-floor by a sound signal and an underwater sound positioning method.SOLUTION: The underwater sound positioning system of the present invention receives a sound signal oscillated from a sound transducer on an on-board station by a sea-floor station, and after that, simultaneously sends back the sound signal to the on-board station from the sea-floor station. The underwater sound positioning system simultaneously transmits the sound signal toward a plurality of sea-floor stations installed on a sea-floor from the on-board station. After that, the sea-floor station having received the sound signal from the sound transducer substantially simultaneously transmits a reply signal toward the on-board station. The sound signal of each sea-floor station received by the on-board station is collected respectively and subjected to processing by a data processing device so that positional information of the sea-floor station can be accurately obtained. The underwater sound measuring system of the present invention is accurate and excellent in collection efficiency of data without influenced by a fluctuation and the like of seawater temperature and salinity concentration since a measurement result substantially simultaneously returns to the on-board station by one time calling.</p> |
