The smart card (10) has a data field (11) that is provided with variable parameter data (12). Application software (13) is implemented in smart card, such that the data field with variable parameter data is provided on the smart card. The application software is designed for generating and providing variable parameter data (12a). An interface (14) between the application software and the data field is provided with variable parameter data. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a terminal for communication network; and (2) a method for modifying parameter data located on smart card.
