The counter has a fixed coherent light source i.e. laser diode, emitting incident coherent light beam (4), a diaphragm (5) and a support that is moved by the rotation of a rotative disk (1). The support comprises an axial coding cell (7) for coding oriented displacement of the support along the direction of the displacement. The support generates an optical code by interference with the light beam, where the optical code is read after interference on a photo detector.
