A diffuser comprises an air inlet 12 and first and second sets of air outlets 42, 44. The air outlets 42, 44 are arranged in first and second regions of a diffuser grille 40, and a region with no outlets 46 is located between them. The region 46 with no outlets thereon preferably comprises at least 5% of the external surface area of the grille 40, or more preferably from 10-40%. The first and second sets of outlets 42, 44 are preferably arranged in annular arrays, with the second annular array 44 having a greater width than the first annular array 42. Projections (60, fig.9) may be provided upstanding from the grille 40, preferably from the region with no outlets 46. |
