<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide packaging material for a battery having excellent moldability and a secondary battery including the packaging material for the battery. <P>SOLUTION: The packaging material for the battery 1 including an outer layer 11, a moldability improving layer 12, a barrier layer 13, a corrosion prevention treatment layer 14, an adhesion layer(X) 15 and an inner layer 16, where the moldability improving layer 12 contains one or more selected from a group consisting of specific resins and coupling agents, is provided.
