<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel unit with high sensitivity realized by suppressing external noise to a touch panel at all times regardless of use environment. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel unit 100 includes: a touch panel body 1 having plural driving lines and plural sensing lines; and a touch panel driving section 111 for applying driving signals Ds to the driving lines of the touch panel body 1 and sampling sensing signals Ss generated by the application of the driving signals Ds to detect signal strength at each of coordinates on the touch panel body that are intersection positions of the plural driving lines 2 and sensing lines.
