The present invention discloses an image forming apparatus. The apparatus includes: a scanner unit which scans an original document to generate an original document image; a storage unit storing the original document image; an image processing unit which adjusts the resolution of the original document image to generate a preview image; a communication unit which transmits the preview image to a display device; and a control unit which receives editing data from the display device to edit the original document image once the preview image is edited on the display device. Accordingly, the present invention can effectively use the preview image of the original document scanned in advance.
