The present invention relates to a folder management method and a device thereof. According to the present invention, the folder management method used in the electronic device includes the steps of: sensing the installation of a random application; displaying a folder selection interface to select a folder corresponding to the installed application; and managing the installed application according to the selected folder when the random folder included in the folder selection interface is selected. The present invention enables the application in each folder to be efficiently managed.
