<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating a place of production of spirits and a method for discriminating kinds of spirits based on measurement of a stable isotope ratio. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrogen stable isotope ratio or an oxygen stable isotope ratio or a carbon stable isotope ratio is measured for spirits, the measured stable isotope ratio in a sample is compared with a stable isotope ratio in spirits of which the place of production or the kind is known, thereby discriminating the place of production or the kind of the spirits. For the measurement of the stable isotope ratio, a well-known isotope ratio analysis method can be used, separation/detection corresponding to a mass-to-charge ratio is performed using a mass spectrometer in accordance with an ordinary method, and the quantity of present isotopes can be measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
