<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrong insertion prevention structure of a terminal metal in a connector capable of preventing the wrong insertion from being left unnoticed when the terminal metal is inserted erroneously in an inappropriate orientation, while protecting the terminal metal from being damaged due to wrong insertion. <P>SOLUTION: In the wrong insertion prevention structure of a terminal metal provided, in the terminal insertion hole 11 of a housing 10, with a terminal collision wall 14 which collides against the front end of the stabilizer 25 of a terminal metal 20 so that it stays in the middle of the insertion state when it is inserted in an inappropriate orientation, the terminal collision wall 14 is formed in tapered structure so that deformation increases depending on a pressing force from the stabilizer 25 upon collision against the stabilizer 25, and thereby the contact area with the stabilizer 25 increases gradually, and the impact on the stabilizer 25 is relaxed by deformation of the terminal collision wall 14 upon collision against the stabilizer 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
