<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass film that can be preferably wound in a roll shape while effectively suppressing breaking of the film during film winding. <P>SOLUTION: Chemical treatment is applied to a pair of end surfaces 1a parallel to a winding direction A of the glass film 1 and to edge parts 1b on front and back surfaces continuous to each of the end surfaces 1a.
