The filling head (10) has rotary connecting element to form mechanical connection with filler neck of tank (14). A rotatable operating unit (30) is coupled to rotary connecting element by torque-limiting coupling device (32), for rotating connecting element. The operating unit is triggered at given threshold torque in direction of rotation to decouple operating unit from rotary connecting element. A sensor (41) is provided to detect triggering of torque-limiting coupling device, and to send release signal for established connection of connecting element with filler neck.
