<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce the weight of the structure of a reflecting telescope. <P>SOLUTION: This altazimuth mount type reflecting telescope includes an elevation axis driving section and a lens barrel section. The elevation axis driving section includes: two rail pedestals that are disposed on an azimuth axis rotary table perpendicularly to a virtual rotation axis of the lens barrel section and positioned parallel to each other; two arc rails that are disposed perpendicularly to the virtual rotation axis of the lens barrel section and positioned parallel to each other; and drive motors mounted on the respective rail pedestals. The drive motors are so disposed that the arc rails are guided by arc portions of the rail pedestals so as to rotatingly move around the virtual rotation axis. The lens barrel section includes: a primary mirror truss including a plurality of skeleton shaft materials extending from the arc rails to a primary mirror; the primary mirror supported to the upper parts of the arc rails by the primary mirror truss; a lens barrel truss retaining the position between the primary mirror and a secondary mirror; and the secondary mirror supported to the upper part of the primary mirror by the lens barrel truss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
