This is a connection device (1) for a fluid line (2), having a connection section (14) which is penetrated by a recess (12), into which the fluid line (2) which is to be connected can be plugged. The front end region of the connection section (14) is configured as a clamping chuck (32) with a plurality of radially movable clamping arms (33). A radially displaceable actuating sleeve (44) is seated on the outside of the connection section (14), which actuating sleeve (44) can be displaced in a clamping direction (46), in order to pass into a clamping position, in which it presses the clamping arms (33) onto the fluid line (2) which is plugged in. The actuating sleeve (44) and the clamping arms (33) are adapted to one another in such a way that the clamping direction (46) is oriented towards the rear side of the connection section (14). Improved security against unintentional opening of the connection device results in this way.
