The device (1) has a connection box (5) guided into an opening (21) of a thin wall and comprising a flange (16). The flange lies at a rear side (4) of the wall. A mounting aid unit (6) is provided on the connection box and is guided into the opening of the wall. The mounting aid unit forms an auxiliary flange (7) i.e. rectangular plastic plate, which is connected with the connection box and lies at the rear side of the wall. Fastening screws (15) are screwed into the auxiliary flange from a front side (3) of the wall. The auxiliary flange is attached to the flange of the box.
