The invention relates to a vehicle 10 fuel cap 18, configured to seal the end section of a filler pipe of the fuel tank to stop the release of hydrocarbon vapours produced through heat and tank pressure, the filler pipe is situated within a tank recess 14. Situated around the filler pipe is a visual indicator 24,26,30,32 to show a closed position of the fuel cap indicator 20 in a simple and reliable manner. The closed position may be confirmed by using a proximity sensor and a light. |
