<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to realize assumed image quality when dislocation occurs in a formation position of a dot. <P>SOLUTION: When dot data showing presence or absence of dot formation is generated based on a gradation value of each pixel forming an image, the respective dots belonging to a plurality of pixel groups different in printing conditions are overlapped and printed in a common region and a noise characteristic having a peak on a high frequency side from a low frequency region whose spatial frequency is a prescribed spatial frequency or below in a spatial frequency region is given to distribution of the dots formed in the common region. When a paper size is determined upon printing and the paper size is large, probability K that the dots are formed in both adjacent pixels is set to be close to probabilities k1 and k2 if first and second pixels are the adjacent pixels in the common region in a prescribed gradation range where the probabilities k1 and k2 that the dots are formed in the first and second pixels belonging to two pixel groups among the plurality of pixel groups are k1<0.5 and k2<0.5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
