摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal defect detection method for forging with which flaw detection accuracy of an internal defect can be improved for forging having a stepped portion. <P>SOLUTION: An internal defect detection method for a hub 20 includes using the hub 20, disposing the hub 20 and an ultrasonic flaw detection probe 40 within an ultrasonic wave transfer medium and detecting an internal defect of the hub 20 through ultrasonic flaw detection. The hub 20 is forging having a stepped portion 22 to which at least three axial parts 22a, 22b and 22c having different cross-sectional areas are connected and in which outer diameters of the axial parts 22a, 22b and 22c become larger towards one end side in an axial direction. The ultrasonic flaw detection probe 40 is disposed at another end side of the hub 20 in the axial direction so as to face the stepped portion 22 of the hub 20 in the axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
