<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system for photovoltaic power generation that can detect a fault of a solar cell panel, and can be simply applied to a variety of photovoltaic power generation systems from a system for a general home to a system in a large scale power plant. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring system for a photovoltaic power generation system in which output from a plurality of solar cell panels 1-3 is aggregated and transmitted to an electric power conversion device 11 is provided with measuring devices 5-7 in a connection box 4, to which output electrical paths from the plurality of solar cell panels 1-3 are converged, to measure the power generation amount of each of the solar cell panels 1-3. In addition, the monitoring system transmits measured data by means of electric power line communication between PLC modems 8-10 in slave units connected to the measuring devices 5-7 and a PLC modem 15 in a master unit provided at the side of the electric power conversion device 11.
