A method for coupling a porous metal part (1), particularly a knitted metal fabric, to a metal casing (2) suitable for conveying a gas flow therein, comprising an arc welding step using a welding device (3) comprising at least two electrodes (4, 5) on the porous part (1) and the casing (2), respectively, for micro-welding the interface (I) between the porous part (1) and the casing (2) while enabling a controlled gas flow through the porous metal part (2) once the coupling is complete.
