The conveyor has a liftable load handling attachment (2) and a radar unit (12). The radar unit is provided for determining displacement of obstacles above or underneath the load handling attachment. The radar unit is placed on parts of the ground conveyor and/or on load that is placed on the load handling attachment. The radar unit comprises a transceiver unit and a receiver unit for sound waves.
