<p>A device 10 for adapting a garden fork 20 for use with a fulcrum 26 to provide a mechanical advantage comprises a sleeve 11, which fits over the handle 21 of the fork at the head 22 thereof, the head being the end of the garden fork to which the tines 23 are fixed. A slot 24 at end 25 of the sleeve accommodates the head of the garden fork. A bolt 14 passes between the tines to fix the sleeve to the head of the garden fork. A flange 12 fixed along the length of the sleeve has a plurality of engagement positions 13 arranged there along, with each engagement position being adapted to be engageable with the fulcrum so as to provide a corresponding mechanical advantage, in use.</p> |
