The method comprises simultaneous medium access allocation for several nodes of a collaborative group of nodes, each having a randomly allocated unique back-off time, stored in a table 40 at each node. A node of the group may request access to the shared medium according to legacy CSMA 802.11 protocol messaging, but the node scheduling is performed according to the back-off table 40. The node groups may be synchronised by reference pulses sent by the nodes of the group, the reference pulse with the best location/best accuracy being selected for the group of nodes. This method enables several reference pulses to be selected at a given time, each regarding a distinct data flow (stream id 1, 2 or 3 of figure 6a) without causing excessive collisions on the access medium.
|
