<p>Provided in an embodiment of the present invention are a method for receiving digital broadcast and an apparatus thereof. The method for receiving digital broadcast comprises the steps of: demultiplexing a transport stream into a video stream, and an auxiliary stream including an event information table (EIT) and a program map table (PMT), wherein the EIT or the PMT includes a caption descriptor including caption information, and the caption descriptor includes the caption information presenting whether caption data included in the video stream is data providing a digital closed caption service upon electronic industry association (EIA)-708 or caption data providing an analog closed caption service upon EIA-708; decoding the video data; and decoding the caption data.</p> |
