Class 20 (3) The glass pane 2 of a window, especially for a motor vehicle, is held firmly against the flange 3 of the rebated window frame 1 by a fillet 5 which is secured to the frame by a number of flat-headed screws 7 passing through oversize holes 8 in the fillet, the tightening of the screws causing a sloping surface 11 on the fillet to engage with an edge 12 of a groove 13 in the frame member with a wedging action so that the fillet is moved horizontally to press against the packing 4 surrounding the edge of the pane.</p> |
