Disclosed is a method for producing an antibody directed against a protein, particularly a transmembrane protein, expressed on the surfaces of cells.;Specifically disclosed is a means for obtaining a desired antibody by mixing cells capable of expressing an antigen protein on the surfaces thereof (i.e., antigen molecule-expressing cells) with an antibody library composed of antibody-expressing cells, viruses or the like, and subsequently concentrating/isolating only components (e.g., antibody-expressing cells, viruses) capable of binding to the antigen molecule-expressing cells from the components (e.g., antibody-expressing cells, viruses) of the antibody library. |

A method, which comprises treating CHO-S cells that express a target antigen protein with mytomycin C so as to suppress cell growth but maintain expression of said target antigen protein, allowing an antibody library which is a cell population comprising cells that present an antibody on surfaces thereof, to come into contact with said CHO-S cells and isolating the cells, so as to separate a constituent member of the antibody library that forms a complex with said target antigen protein, wherein said target antigen protein is a multiple transmembrane protein. |
